  • The Viking heart is shown in its natural form with rounded top and pointed bottom
  • There are nubs at the quarter points and the field with a scribed trefoil which was a favourite Viking decorative element
  • Relatively flat section, produced by the open face mould technique
  • The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior
